Inviting Young People to Experience Life as God Designed It

"I felt God's presence, and I felt God actually making an impact" - Nolan

"I am so beyond blessed that I get to walk alongside Matthew; talk about Jesus, and to just kind of build our lives in his Image." - Brandon

"The amount of influence that the leaders have had on me, I'm just very thankful that I'm able to walk through life with these leaders." - Matthew

"For anyone who is skeptical about donating to Young Life, or becoming a leader yourself, I would say there is no greater use for your time or your efforts. Pouring into kid's lives is one of the most beneficial things I've ever done, it fuels me, it keeps me going everyday." - Meg

Do I have to be young to volunteer?

No, and in fact, we need adults of all ages.

Young Life leaders come from a wide range of life stages; young professionals, parents, retirees, and everything in between. What matters most isn’t your age, it’s your willingness to consistently show up and care.

Do I need ministry experience?

Most Young Life leaders didn't start with youth ministry experience, they simply cared about showing up consistently. We provide training, guidance, and a team to support you every step of the way.

If you can listen, encourage, and show up, you can make a difference.

What is the time commitment?

Typically 1-2 hours per week.

That includes attending weekly club, leading or helping with a small group, and building relationships with students. Some leaders also attend camp.\

Young Life is relational ministry, consistency matters more than perfection.

Is this affiliated with a specific church?

Young Life is a Christian organization, but it is not tied to one specific church or denomination. Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, and many serve together on the same team.

I'm busy, is there another way to help besides leading students?

Yes!

Many adults choose to support Young Life Tulsa financially, host events, provide meals, or help behind the scenes. Every role matters.

You don't have to lead a small group to make a lasting impact.

Where does my donation go?

Your gift stays local.

It supports:

• Camp scholarships for Tulsa students

• Leader training and resources

• Outreach events and weekly club

• Materials and operational needs

Every dollar helps create consistent, relational presence in students' lives.
